Vitabiotics Cardioace Plus Capsules are carefully formulated to help safeguard levels of nutrients that are vital to heart health and help to maintain normal cholesterol levels. They combine the original comprehensive multinutrient formula of Vitabiotics Cardioace Original with Plant Sterols and Cardiol, a proprietary botanical complex containing Lycopene from tomatoes, ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid) and Resveratrol (Red grape skin flavonoids) for extra support:
- Plant Sterols: The latest scientific research indicates that Plant Sterols contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. The formula contains 1.3g - beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of at least 0.8g.
- Resveratrol: A phytochemical found in red grape skins which may be partly responsible for the health benefit attributed to red wine. Resveratrol may contribute to cardiovascular health.
- Omega-3 Fish Oils: A rich source of EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid). A daily intake of at least 250mg EPA and DHA contributes to the normal function of the heart.
- Vitamin B1: Also known as thiamin, this contributes to the normal function of the heart.
- Garlic Extract: One of the most widely used and oldest botanicals, this is included as it contributes to normal circulation.
- Antioxidants: Zinc, selenium, vitamin E and vitamin C contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
- Homocysteine Metabolism: Analysis has revealed that high levels of homocysteine are a strong independent factor in heart health, accounting for as much as 10% of the combined influence of all known factors in heart health. Folic acid and vitamins B1, B6 and B12 all contribute to normal homocysteine metabolism, while vitamin B12 and folic acid also contribute to normal red blood cell formation.
