Description
SunVit-D3 Tablets
SunVit-D3 Tablets contain pharmaceutical grade vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) and are the vitamin D of choice for many hospital trusts and community medicines management teams including the Central Manchester Foundation Trust, the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London, the Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group and Lincolnshire CCGs.
To maintain healthy vitamin D3 levels, health professionals recommend a daily maintenance of 1,000 IU - 2,000 IU of vitamin D3 and the range also contains higher strengths which may be taken under medical supervision. The Department of Health recommends that vitamin D supplementation may be particularly beneficial for pregnant and breastfeeding women, children aged under five years old, people aged 65 or over, people who are not exposed to much sun (e.g. people who are housebound or who cover up their skin for cultural reasons) and people who have darker skin because their bodies are less able to produce as much vitamin D.
Athletes who train indoors may also be at risk of Vitamin D deficiency which is why the 20,000 IU strength has undergone an extensive procedure carried out by the anti-doping laboratory LGC Sport and Specialised analytical service to ensure that it is free from a wide range of substances banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). This provides the highest level of assurance for athletes that the product is safe.
SunVit-D3 Tablets are free from gelatin, peanut oil, yeast, wheat, soy, gluten and dairy products, although they contain traces of lactose. They are suitable for kosher patients and are officially approved by The Vegetarian Society and the Halal Monitoring Committee.
SunVit-D3 Tablets are available in packs of 28 in 400IU, 800IU, 1,000IU, 2,000IU, 5,000IU, 10,000IU and 20,000IU strengths, packs of 12 in 25,000IU and packs of 15 in 50,000IU. Simply choose from the drop down above.

Cautions
- SunVit-D3 is not recommended for children under 11 years.
- Pregnant or nursing women should consult their doctor before use.
- SunVit-D3 contains lactose. In the pharmaceutical industry, lactose is used to help form tablets because it has excellent compressibility properties. Most medications do not contain enough lactose to cause lactose intolerance, but some patients with severe lactose intolerance may experience symptoms. Patients who are specifically "allergic" to lactose (not just lactose intolerant) should not use tablets containing lactose.
