Setlers Antacid Chewable Tablets Spearmint Flavour contain calcium carbonate to neutralise excess stomach acid and relieve the symptoms of indigestion and heartburn in adults and children over 6 years old.
Setlers Antacid Chewable Tablets Spearmint Flavour contain calcium carbonate to neutralise excess stomach acid and relieve the symptoms of indigestion and heartburn in adults and children over 6 years old.
Directions
Suck or chew the tablets.
- Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Take 1 or 2 tablets when required (maximum 16 tablets per day).
- Children aged 6-12 years: Take 1 tablet when required (maximum 4 tablets per day).
Ingredients
- Active Ingredient: Calcium Carbonate 500mg.
- Other Ingredients: Sucrose, glucose, maize starch, maltodextrin, talc, magnesium stearate, spearmint flavour, adipic acid.
Cautions
- Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using Setlers Antacid Chewable Tablets Spearmint Flavour if you are pregnant, might be pregnant or are breastfeeding.
- This product contains 0.47g of sucrose per tablet. To be taken into account in people with diabetes. If you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
- Have an allergy to any of the ingredients.
- Have kidney or liver problems.
- Have kidney stones.
- Have high calcium levels in your blood or urine.
- Are on a low phosphate diet.
- Are taking cardiac glycosides (e.g. digoxin).
- Are under 6 years old, unless recommended by a doctor.
- Ever had kidney stones.
- Sarcoidosis (inflammation that produces lumps of cells in various organs in the body).
- Any other disease where your blood calcium levels are already high.
- Digoxin for heart failure.
- Tetracycline or Ciprofloxacin for infections.
- Bisphosphonates for osteoporosis.
- Medicines to remove fluids from the body (e.g. water tablets).
- Eltrombopag to increase blood platelet levels.
- Fluoride to prevent tooth decay.
- Zinc or vitamin D (dietary supplements).
- Oral iron for anaemia.
- Levothyroxine for underactive thyroid gland.
- Medicines with an enteric coating (prevents disintegration in the stomach).
