Rennie Orange Flavour Tablets
Rennie Orange Flavour Tablets give the same fast, effective relief as the rest of the Rennie range but offer a refreshing alternative to mint flavour tablets. They are antacid tablets which quickly turn excess acid into water and other natural substances to provide relief from indigestion, heartburn, acid indigestion, dyspepsia, hyperacidity, nervous indigestion, flatulence, upset stomach, indigestion during pregnancy and biliousness.
Directions
Adults and children over 12 years:
- 2 tablets to be sucked or chewed as required, preferably 1 hour after meals and before bedtime.
- For heartburn an extra 2 tablets may be taken between these times.
- Do not take more than 16 tablets a day.
Ingredients
- Active Ingredient: Calcium Carbonate 500mg
- Other Ingredients: Sucrose, Potato Starch, Pregelatinised Maize Starch, Magnesium Stearate, Talc, Citric Acid, Saccharin, Orange Flavour, Ponceau 4R (E124), Quinoline Yellow (E104).
Cautions
- Avoid taking Rennie Orange Flavour Tablets with large amounts of milk or dairy.
- Rennie Orange Flavour Tablets contain sucrose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking these tablets.
- Rennie Orange Flavour Tablets also contain ponceau 4R (E124) which may cause allergic reactions.
- If you have severe kidney disease.
- If you have high calcium in the urine or kidney stones.
- If you have high calcium or low phosphate levels in the blood.
- If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients.
- If you are under 12 years old.
- If you have mild or moderate kidney problems.
- If you are taking any other medicine, including those obtained without a prescription, particularly:
- Tetracyclines and quinolones (antibiotics).
- Levothyroxine (a thyroid hormone).
- Eltrombopag (a medicine used to increase the number of platelets).
- Digoxin (used for some heart conditions).
- Thiazide diuretics (water tablets to treat water retention and high blood pressure).
- Fluorides (for preventing dental caries).
- Phosphates (for clearing the bowel prior to surgical procedure).
- Iron supplements.
