Pickles Ointment

Pickles Ointment is a topical treatment for corns, callouses and hard skin for use in adults and children over 6 years. The active ingredient is salicylic acid, so it is not suitable for people who are allergic to aspirin.

Adults and children over 6 years
  • Hard skin & Callouses: Apply a little ointment only to the hard skin for 4 nights, then bathe the area to allow the hard skin to peel.
  • Corns: Fix a corn ring over corn and apply a little ointment through the hole directly onto it. Leave in place for 3 days, then bathe the area. Repeat the treatment if corn persists.
Wash hands thoroughly after using the ointment, or if it gets on to normal skin.
  • Active Ingredient: Salicylic Acid 50% w/w.
  • Other Ingredient: Yellow soft paraffin 50 w/w.
  • Do not apply to normal skin as it will damage it.
  • Diabetics should consult GP before use.
  • Keep the ointment away from the eyes, nose, mouth and normal skin. If you accidentally apply the ointment to the eyes, nose or mouth you should flush with water for 15 minutes. If you accidentally apply the ointment to normal skin, wash it off immediately.
  • Do not store above 25˚C.
  • Do not freeze.
Do not use Pickles Ointment:
  • If you are allergic to aspirin or any of the ingredients.
  • On children under 6 years.
  • On broken or healthy skin.
  • If you are diabetic, have poor blood circulation or numbness in your feet or hands, unless advised by a doctor.
  • On large areas or for more than 2 weeks unless advised by a doctor.
