Hypromellose 0.5% Eye Drops

Hypromellose 0.5% Eye Drops is an artificial tear used to treat dry eyes caused by a lack of tears in the eye(s). Replacement of the reduced natural tears with an artificial tear helps to soothe and lubricate your eyes and provide relief from irritation. The drops can also be used as a lubricant for artificial eyes.
Directions
Always use Hypromellose 0.5% Eye Drops exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is one or two drops as needed or as directed by your doctor. If you are using in combination with another eye drop medicine, wait 5-15 minutes before applying the second eye drops.
Do not use the drops while wearing contact lenses. Wait at least 15 minutes after use before putting your lenses back in.
If you are unsure about how to use Hypromellose 0.5% Preservative Free Eye Drops talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Eye solutions, if handled wrongly, can become contaminated by common bacteria and cause eye infections. If you do develop any other eye condition whilst using this product, see your doctor immediately.
If there is no improvement see your doctor or pharmacist.

Cautions
- Hypromellose may cause a temporary blurring of vision immediately after using the drops. Do not drive or operate machines if you experience any visual disturbance after using the product. Wait until this clears before driving or using machines.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
- If you are unsure about taking this medicine or you have any questions, go and talk to your doctor first and follow the advice given.
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines.
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are applying any other type of eye drops or eye ointment before you start to use this medicine.
Do not use Hypromellose 0.5% Eye Drops if:
- You are allergic (hypersensitive) to Hypromellose or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Hypromellose 0.5% Eye Drops:
- If you develop an eye infection during this treatment.
- If you are wearing contact lenses.
Take special care with Hypromellose 0.5% Eye Drops if:
- Your eye irritation persists or worsens.
- You have a headache or eye pain.
- Your vision changes.
- You have permanently red eyes
If any of the above apply to you, stop using Hypromellose 0.5% Eye Drops and contact your doctor immediately.
