Hydromol Ointment is a SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate) free formula containing yellow soft paraffin for the relief of dry skin conditions including eczema and itchyosis. It works by forming an occlusive barrier on the skin to seal in water and rubs in easily to moisturise, soften and protect. The ointment is particularly useful for very dry skin, for use under wet wraps or as a night treatment and can be used instead of soap for r a soft, creamy wash.
Hydromol Ointment is free from added fragrances, colour and preservatives.
Hydromol Ointment is available in 125g, 500g and 1kg tubs.
Apply Hydromol Ointment as often as possible, at least 3 - 4 times a day. You cannot over-use emollients.
Apply liberally to the affected area. If in doubt, ask your doctor or nurse for advice.
Even when the skin starts to improve, do not stop using emollient therapy.
Never be without the ointment. Take some of your emollient with you wherever you go, and don't wait until you run out to get some more.
If you prefer the ointment warmer or cooler, you can either warm it in your hands or store in a cool place prior to application (however it should not be heated or chilled).
Apply the ointment in the direction of hair growth to avoid blocking hair follicles.
Take care with naked flames after applying any product containing paraffin liquid or wax.
