Description

Hydromol Intensive Cream

Hydromol Intensive Cream is an intensive fragrance free moisturiser that relieves the discomfort of clinically dry, scaly skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, ichthyosis and xeroderma by hydrating the skin and helping to lock in moisture.

Hydromol Intensive Cream contains 10% urea, a vital component of the skin's own Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF). Urea is a naturally occurring humectant that attracts water into the skin and hydrates it from the inside. The cream also contains white soft paraffin which forms an oily layer on the surface of the skin to help prevent water from evaporating from the skin's surface to reduce irritation, restore suppleness and improve the appearance of your skin.

Hydromol Intensive Cream is available in 30g and 100g tubes.

Directions

Always use Hydromol Intensive Cream exactly as your doctor has told you to. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. It is for external use only and should only be applied to the skin. It should not be used on moist or broken skin.
  • Wash the affected areas well and rinse off any traces of soap.
  • Dry.
  • Apply a suitable amount of cream twice daily in combination with your normal emollient regime to severely affected areas.
Your doctor may tell you to cover this with a special "occlusive" (air tight) dressing but this is not usually necessary.

Ingredients

  • Active Ingredient: Urea 10% w/w contained in white soft paraffin.
  • Other Ingredients: Isopropyl myristate, maize starch, glyceryl tribehenate, palmitic acid, sorbitan laurate and polyoxyethylene fatty glyceride.

Cautions

  • Do not use Hydromol Intensive Cream if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to urea or any of the ingredients.
  • Tell your doctor before you use Hydromol Intensive Cream if you have moist or broken skin.
  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using or have recently used any other medicines which are applied to the skin as they may interfere with Hydromol Intensive Cream.
  • Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
