Bonjela Cool Mint Gel Bonjela Cool Mint Gel relieves the pain and discomfort caused by common mouth ulcers and cold sores. It can also be used to aid the healing of sore spots and ulcers caused by dentures and braces.
Bonjela Cool Mint Gel contains choline salicylate, a painkiller and anti-flammatory to soothe sore areas and cetalkonium chloride, antiseptic to kill bacteria and help prevent infection.
Bonjela Cool Mint Gel is suitable for adults and adolescents over 16 years only.
Massage approximately 1cm (½ inch) of Bonjela Cool Mint Gel onto the sore area. This can be repeated every 3 hours.
Dentures Sores
Massage approximately 1cm (½ inch) of Bonjela Cool Mint Gel onto the sore area and leave at least 30 minutes before reinserting the dentures. Do not apply the gel directly to the dentures.
Bonjela Cool Mint Gel contains ethanol (alcohol), less than 100mg per doses.
Do not use Bonjela Cool Mint Gel:
In children or adolescents under 16 years of age. This is because there is a possible link between salicylates and Reye's syndrome when given to children. Reye's syndrome is a very rare disease which affects the brain and liver and can be fatal.
If you are suffering from a mouth ulcer.
If you are allergic to salicylates or to any other ingredient in this product.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Bonjela Cool Mint Gel:
If you are taking any other medicines. Salicylates may increase the effect of blood thinning medicines (anticoagulants) and can decrease the effect of medicines used to treat gout (uricosurics) such as probenic acid and benzbromarone.
If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding.
