AYMES
AYMES is a nutritionally-balanced, milkshake-style supplement designed to help give an additional boost to adults and children over 6 years who do not require medical intervention, for example:
- Whilst awaiting hospital admission.
- When sudden illness prevents you for shopping or cooking.
- After surgery, when successful recovery depends on good nutrition
- During minor illness when conventional foods are temporarily unacceptable.
- In patients who may forget to take meals or refuse to eat adequate quantities to maintain their weight.
When mixed 200ml whole milk, AYMES provides 265-266 calories and 14.9-15.1g protein per serving and is based on skimmed milk powder with added carbohydrate, fat, vitamins and minerals. It can be reconstituted with water but using whole milk achieves a creamier taste and an improved nutritional profile.
AYMES is available in 3 flavours: banana, chocolate and vanilla. All flavours are gluten free and suitable for vegetarians.
AYMES should be used as a supplement to the diet. It is not suitable as a sole source of nutrition.
Directions
- Suggested intake: 1-2 servings a day unless otherwise indicated by a health care professional.
Each sachet of AYMES should be reconstituted with 200ml of whole milk. It is best served cold, but can be made up hot, if preferred.
- Pour 50ml of the milk into a glass or mug and then add 1 sachet of AYMES
- Mix into a smooth cream with a whisk or fork
- Top up with the remaining 150ml milk whilst mixing continuously
- Serve when fully mixed
Once reconstituted, AYMES may be stored for up to 24 hours in a refrigerator
